All broodmares and stallions standing for service in Nebraska shall be registered with the Official Registry to qualify their resulting foals for certification as “Nebraska Breds”.

Nebraska Bred foals are eligible to 1) participate in races restricted to Nebraska Bred horses; 2) earn purse supplements for their owner and 3) earn breeders awards for the registered breeder and stallion awards for the owner of the stallion at the time of conception.
